As a dedicated conference center in operation for over 40 years, Airlie has always prioritized maintaining and saving our environment. Our E3 and Green Seal certifications attest to this. To these, we add our own long list of sound eco-friendly practices - all of which are easily parlayed into an unforgettably green wedding experience.

There are a number of gardens at Airlie from which to choose the perfect location for your green garden ceremony. Among the initiatives of our green mission is that our landscaping emphasizes native trees and plants and no toxic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers are used in these gardens. Further, much of the vegetation is designed with the object of attracting butterflies – a romantic touch, to be sure – but also an important environmental marker. Wedding guests who wish to stay at Airlie will find our guestrooms are designed with the environment in mind. Offerings include amenities that feature natural soaps in recyclable containers, water-saver shower heads and toilets ensuring that water is minimally wasted and paper products that are Green Seal compliant.

When making your menu selections, consider that Airlie’s sustainable organic vegetable garden is the source of much of our produce. What we don’t grow ourselves, we purchase from other green-minded vendors and the result is outstanding cuisine that is both healthy and organically and locally grown. Our menus are designed to provide inspiration for couples who want to exemplify land-stewardship, sustainable organic gardening, minimize their footprint on our planet, and send their guests away with memories of a fabulous culinary experience.
