DIRECTOR OF SALES
For nearly 50 years, Airlie Center has thrived on being a dedicated conference center and has provided the ideal atmosphere for productive meetings, hosting over 10,000 conferences. We are an active member in the International Association of Conference Centers, and host over 600 government, non-profit and private sector groups each year. Many of these organizations have been returning to Airlie for years, and enjoy the campus-like setting, the customer service and attention to detail.
Airlie has a strong history of environmental stewardship, is Green Seal Certified, and features the Local Food Project, a leading example of "green" practices.
We are currently searching for an experienced Director of Sales to lead our Sales and
Planning Department. The DOS will have a robust revenue and room night goal and will handle the Airlie Center 's key clients and market segments. Additionally, as noted above, the DOS will be responsible for efficient administration of the sales and planning department. This position requires an individual with excellent time management skills, ability to delegate, understanding of the "numbers", as well as interest in face-to-face selling. This position is very DIRECT SALES focused- we are seeking an individual with an interest and strength in selling, as marketing is handled by the Airlie Foundation.
Interested candidates should have:
- 6-8 years of progressive hospitality sales experience, specifically in group meeting sales
- Delphi experience a plus
- 3-5 years managing a team
- College degree
