Simply put, a Green Meeting is an event planned to minimize its effects upon the environment. Airlie has a long history of implementing environmentally conscious practices in the Center’s daily operations. So, when groups gather at Airlie, they are holding a green meeting by automatically taking advantage of the benefits of Airlie’s green initiatives, including, recycling, energy efficient lighting, linen reuse, composting, organic produce grown on-campus, wildlife-friendly grounds keeping, nature based recreation and more.
